iPhone Apps: September Releases
Some good stuff to look out for this month. Apple have finally approved the Spotify application for the iPhone. The app has cause lots of discussion, as it poses a direct threat to Apple’s iTunes, and has raged many Spotify users, as you can only use the iPhone application if your become a Spotify Premium user costing £9.99 a month. The application itself is free.
For me it’s a no brainer. Simply because of the offline playlist tool, where you can listen to any track on Spotify, without being connected to the Internet. So it’s basically becomes a similar service to Napster To Go, where you can download any track to your MP3 player for a monthly fee. Good stuff if you are a big music fan.
Wish you could “Sing” like T-Pain? Well now you can with the “I Am T-Pain” iPhone application. It incorporates T-Pains Auto-tune plug-in and turns you horrible singing voice into a pitch perfect pop vocal. It’s a bargain at £1.79 and will hopefully put an end to it in the charts, because although it’s fun, auto-tune is destroying pop music. Here’s a video of the app in action:
