Finally a Reporter With Some Balls…

I’m going to continue the theme of exposing the truth today. So if there is one thing that really sucks about America its corporate businesses and their grip on politics.

“Free” America prides itself on its private, non government run businesses. Instead these businesses run the government. The Government pay out Billions a week to businesses to do its bidding, from everything to health-care to armed forces. Acorn is one such company that has been brought to light recently.

Acorn provide grassroots community organization of low- and moderate-income people. Sounds like a perfect target for them at FOX News indeed. FOX sent a fake under cover Pimp to Acorn offices to try and get financial support whilst claiming to be a pimp, and in some cases succeeded. It does indeed show that Acorn can be corrupted and something does need to be done about it. But Acorn are saints compared to some other government funded businesses.

Enter MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. This is the first piece of passionate truthful investigative reporting I think I’ve ever witnessed from the America press. Kudos Rachel Maddow.

Viral: Origin of Stupidity

At skip to the end, we like straight talking people who speak truth. We also usually ignore anyone that chooses to use the word “hella”, however for this video I am prepared to make an exception.

Christianity. Even if you are agnostic or atheist you probably think its not all that bad right? Well most of the people at the bottom are OK, but not the ones that try to pull this shit. Everyone is entitled to their own views, but they have no right to enforce their views that are not based on fact on other people. This year marks the 150th Anniversary of the publication of Darwin’s book “Origin of Species” which firmly disapproves the bible’s claims that God created humans.

In a daft attempt to corrupt the book, This was announced. In the video its announced that a free anniversary version of the book will be given out at schools and universities with a 50 page introduction that supposedly denounces and disproves the theories in the book.

Here is the appropriate response: (which has now had nearly 4 times as many views as the original above)

The world v Lily Allen

If you use the Internet, which I am assuming you do (if you don’t and you are reading this then your doing something wrong), then you will probably have heard some of the music piracy row that has occurred over the past few weeks.

Lily Allen has spoken out at illegal file-sharers claiming they are destroying the music industry, and will lead music into an “ice age”. She joined a coalition of artists that call for Internet Service Providers to limit Internet speeds and downloads of those who are illegally downloading music and films. It’s a stupid idea that will never happen. Why? Because ISP’s have to agree to do it. Agreeing to this would be bad for business, who is going to want to join a provider that will reduce their speeds when they can go elsewhere or get mobile broadband?

Its caused a big feud around the web, mostly directed at Lily Allen for not backing up the things she is calling for. Here is the best response I have seen:

Here is my opinion. If the music industry is going to die, let it die! The industry sucks! It’s a poisonous pit of putrid money grabbing crap. I hope all major labels go bust.

I love music, more than most things that exist. All major labels do is decide what people will like, and make what will make the bosses loads of money. Any bit of talent they do find is exploited and forged into the mould they choose, crushing individuality, creativity and honesty. It’s only about the money. That’s not what music is about.

Music is about honest expression of feelings, moments and creativity. It’s a universal language that is as older than society itself. If major labels ceased to exist, people would not stop making music, but they would stop exploiting it to make money. Show me the last Madonna song that was good? Yet she is still making number 1 singles. Show me anyone who has been on X-factor or American Idol that is a successful musician? The people left making music would be the people who are making honest music because they love it, not because they are trying to be rich and famous, then it might actually be worth paying for!

Verdict: Lily Allen = Career Fail
